Glogster

Post Secondary Glogster



You must select one school you are interested in attending and create a glogster including the following information:

Describe the school:
Location, population, history

Entrance requirements:
Grades required, cost of tuition, info for international students

Two Programs at the school you are interested in:
Why do you want to attend these programs, How do does this program fit into your goals

Extracurricular activities and student life:
Show what life is like for students, highlight activities that students do at the institution

Your Glogster must include pictures, text video and music

Meeting Time:  8:50 a.m.   
              
Meeting Place:  Bay Centre - Douglas Street Entrance
Be on time as we need to catch the bus to Langford just after 9:00 a.m.

Special Details:  clothing - be sure to bring along a pair of socks.
Lunch - students will be able to purchase lunch at the end of the activity.

Dismissal time:  approx. 12:30 p.m.         
               
Place:  return to downtown

Activities:  Merry Christmas Magical Mystery Tour

Meeting Time:  1:00 p.m.            
Meeting Place:  Bay Centre (Douglas Street Entrance)

Special Details:  clothing - appropriate for the weather (good walking shoes, umbrella?)  Camera.   A small food and/or cash donation would be appreciated - for a Christmas charity.
Be sure to eat lunch prior to meeting - there will be a snack time part way through the afternoon. l

Activity: Victoria Royals hockey game and dinner

Meeting Time: 4:30 p.m.
Meeting Place: Bay Centre (main entrance)

$5 advance to book ticket – please pay to Mr. J by Wednesday, Nov. 16 so that we can confirm the number of tickets that we need. This will be refunded at the game.

Special Details:
clothing - dress warmly for the Save on Foods Memorial Arena
Dinner – we will be having dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and
snacks are available at the arena

Activities: IMAX and Crag-X Climbing Wall

Meeting Time: 11:30 a.m.
Meeting Place:
Royal British Columbia Museum (IMAX) main entrance

Special Details:
Clothing - running shoes and pants/shorts for climbing. Students should note that it can be quite cold inside the rock climbing facility.
Lunch - We will stop in the Bay Centre for a quick lunch break between the IMAX movie and rock climbing. Students may pack a lunch or buy lunch. Time for lunch will be limited to about 25 minutes.
Transportation - We will take the #14 bus from downtown to the Crag X facility.

Dismissal time/Location
approx. 4:00 p.m. at Crag X - Students may get back on the #14 bus easily from this location

Getting Started

In order to do access the course lectures and the assignments for both English and Planning 10 you will need a google account, specifically a gmail address, twitter account and blogger account.

Follow the instructions on this screen cast and you should be all set.

Follow the steps in this tutorial. By the end of it you should have a twitter account and be following atpvictoria. Make you sure you go to your gmail account once you are finished and verify your account.

Place:  from the Rowing Club with a return to Mayfair/downtown/homestay

The original activity (tennis and golf at Henderson) was changed due to the weather forecast for Saturday (showers).  I've been hoping for an improvement in the forecast - therefore the delay in sending out the details.
